Mr Alan Kosmin has been a Consultant Ophthalmologist for 16 years and works at West Hertfordshire NHS Trust. He has a strong interest in cataract surgery and has undertaken a fellowship in cataract and anterior segment surgery in Australia at the Lions Eye Institute. He has performed over 10,000 cataract operations which include the fitting of multifocal, toric and monofocal lens implants. Mr Kosmin did his general ophthalmic training on the prestigious Oxford ophthalmology rotation. He holds full fellowship of the British Royal College of Ophthalmologists as well as a master’s degree in neuroscience from London University and a doctorate in Ophthalmology from Liverpool University. Mr Kosmin takes pride in being able to explain complicated eye conditions, from diagnosis to treatment, in a straightforward and approachable manner. He is always happy to answer any questions my patients have about their eye condition.
